In 1949, Rudolf Johan Koreska designed and developed the modular shelving system Reska. Rudolf Johan Koreska was a Danish locksmith, businessman and company founder. He was the man behind the Ruko lock and not least Reska furniture.
In 1950 he applied for a world patent for the shelving system and he named it Reska, which is the ending of his surname. In 1950, Koreska established the furniture company Reska in Birkerød in Hvidegaard. Up through the 60s we had 4 companies and more than 300 employees. In 1977, we were acquired by the furniture company Labofa A/S, which continued under the name Reska until 2002. Labofa Munch A/S was split in November 2008 into Labofa A/S and Munch Furniture A/S, respectively, with Reska becoming part of Munch Furniture A/S.
In the summer of 2011, Reska will again become a dedicated company specializing in library environments and offices. The Reska brand is bought by John Jacobsen who has worked with sales, project management and the production of Reska since 1998, both at home and abroad. At Reska we sell our products both at home and abroad and we collaborate with architects and designers and also make our own library and office layout.
